Understand the claim.
Define the next legal step.

A payment default, ongoing proceedings and an existing title require different approaches. We conduct the legal work on the basis of the actual case record and the agreed instruction, connecting the underlying claim, procedural route and commercial objective.

Claim assessment & negotiated solutions

The starting point is a substantiated assessment: who holds the claim, who is liable and what is actually due? Contracts, payments and objections inform the correspondence that follows and any potential payment or settlement arrangements.

The key questions

  • Legal basis of the claim, claim holder and liable parties
  • Maturity, payment position and objections raised
  • Available options and expressly granted settlement authority

The objectiveAn assessed claim position and a reasoned proposal for the next stage of work.

Court proceedings & enforcement

We assess the appropriate court route, conduct proceedings within the agreed scope and pursue claims supported by a judgment or other title. When taking over a matter, we reconstruct the procedural history and identify outstanding steps. Enforcement measures are selected with regard to the title, required evidence and commercial position.

The key questions

  • Parties, applications, court decisions and current deadlines
  • Title, service evidence and prerequisites of the specific measure
  • Current balance, previous measures, costs and known obstacles

The objectiveAn agreed procedural approach with identified prerequisites and documented next steps.

Cross-border claims

International lending relationships need a clear assessment within the German legal system. We connect the contractual and existing procedural position with the requirements for action in Germany. Communication with institutional clients can take place in German or English.

The key questions

  • Contractual basis, governing law and jurisdiction
  • Previous proceedings, service and any existing foreign titles
  • Required records, translations and coordination with other parties

The objectiveA German legal point of contact for the conduct of the matter and further procedural coordination.

Security & personal liability

A claim may be supported by security interests, guarantees or other personal obligations. We assess each basis and its extent separately. The principal debtor, security providers and other liable parties are clearly identified so that different recovery routes can be considered within the overall strategy.

The key questions

  • Security agreements and statements of personal obligation
  • Relevant parties, extent of liability and potential objections
  • Realisation options, proceeds and effects on the claim balance

The objectiveA view of the available claims and security, together with the limitations that still need to be clarified.

Insolvency & restructuring

A deterioration in a liable party’s financial position calls for a reassessment of the approach. We establish the specific insolvency position, handle the filing of claims and assess security rights. Potential arrangements are considered in the context of the proceedings and the client’s objectives.

The key questions

  • Current procedural position and known court orders
  • Claims to be filed, supporting evidence and security positions
  • Available options, required instructions and implications for other liable parties

The objectiveAn approach to claims and security that reflects the actual procedural position.

Your starting point

Where does your

The claim needs a clear basis.

The right measure comes next.
